Package with the Snikke “Dieverdoatsie”
The Snikke “Dieverdoatsie” is a replica of the tow barges that transported passengers through the Veenkoloniën during the 19th and 20th centuries. Combined with a journey on the steam train, this package lets you experience travel in the Veenkoloniën as it was in days gone by. During Stadskanaal onder Stoom you can enjoy this special package on Saturday, 19 September, including a trip aboard the Dieverdoatsie between Stadskanaal and Bareveld (or vice versa).
A supplement applies for the Snikke package in addition to the day ticket. Special tickets are available in our ticket shop. Boarding is only possible with a valid e-ticket, and places are limited. Book your tickets now!

Combined ticket for Stadskanaal onder Stoom and the Snikke:
12 years and older: €25.00
4 to 11 years: €12.50.
Programme 1 – Saturday, 19 September
- 9:30 am: Departure of the “Dieverdoatsie” from the bridge next to Stadskanaal station.
- 11:45 am: Arrival at Bareveld STAR stop.
- 12:03 pm: Departure by steam train from Bareveld stop.
- 12:25 pm: Arrival at Stadskanaal station.
Please note for Programme 1: parking is available at STOPAQ from 9:00 am. A shuttle bus will take you to Stadskanaal station, allowing you to board the boat at the bridge at 9:30 am.
Programme 2 – Saturday, 19 September
- 10:30 am: Departure by steam train from STAR station Stadskanaal.
- 11:15 am: Arrival at Veendam station.
- 11:40 am: Departure by steam train from Veendam station.
- 12:03 pm: Arrival at Bareveld stop.
- 12:10 pm: Departure of the “Dieverdoatsie” from Bareveld stop.
- 2:15 pm: Arrival at STAR station Stadskanaal.
In addition to this package, your regular day ticket also allows you to visit the **Jatrie**, moored near the station bridge in Stadskanaal.
Historic cargo vessel “Jatrie”
At the station bridge you can also visit the “Jatrie”. The Jatrie is a historic cargo vessel of the **Groninger Steilsteven** type, built in 1930 in Oude Pekela.
