About the Day Ticket
- The day ticket is valid all day on all passenger trains running between Stadskanaal and Veendam, and between Stadskanaal and Nieuw Buinen, and also provides access to the Stadskanaal railway yard.
- Regular return and single tickets are not available on this day.
- Do you have a STAR donor annual pass or family pass? These tickets are also valid as usual during Stadskanaal under Steam.
- Discount coupons or free tickets are not valid this weekend.
- Day tickets for Stadskanaal under Steam are available in our ticket shop. You can also purchase day tickets on the day itself at the Stadskanaal and Veendam stations.
Dieverdoatsie Combi Ticket (boat) & Stadskanaal Under Steam 2025

About the Combi Ticket
- The Combi Ticket gives you access to a boat trip on the Snikke Dieverdoatsie, and is also valid all day on all passenger trains running between Stadskanaal and Veendam and between Stadskanaal and Nieuw Buinen. It also gives you access to the Stadskanaal rail yard.
- Only on Saturday, September 20th; the package is not available on September 21st.
- Do you have a STAR donor annual pass or family pass? These passes are not valid for the Snikke package during the Stadskanaal under Steam event.
- Discount coupons or free tickets are not valid this weekend.
- Combination tickets for Stadskanaal under Steam are available in our ticket shop. Due to limited seating, the combination tickets may no longer be available at the ticket office in Stadskanaal.
