The second day of Pentecost and the last Sunday of the autumn holidays are all about our young visitors at Museumspoorlijn STAR. All children can come along for free if they bring their own cuddly toy! Of course, the bear doctor will be there too and there will be plenty to do at the station and on the train.
On this Sunday, extra activities will be organised for young visitors. Take part in the train quiz, go on a bear hunt or have your face painted! On the platform in Stadskanaal, you can take part in traditional Dutch games such as walking on stilts. You can also ride on the pump lorry or take a ride on a shunting locomotive. The museum will also be open. Of course, there will be a train going back and forth to Veendam twice.
Ticket sales
Ticket sales will start approximately one month before this event. Buy your ticket via our ticket shop and you can easily exchange it for an authentic train ticket at the ticket office upon arrival at the station! Tickets can also be purchased at Stadskanaal and Veendam stations. The conductor checks and clips the ticket on the train.
