On Sunday 5 April (Easter Sunday), the time has come again: the steam train of Museumspoorlijn STAR will once again run between Stadskanaal and Veendam. The steam season has opened again!
Steam on both Easter days
On both Easter days (5 and 6 April), the steam train runs twice between Stadskanaal and Veendam. From Stadskanaal, you can take the train at 10.30 am and 1.50 pm. Departure time from Veendam is 11.45 am. No reservation is required. Tickets can be purchased at the stations of Stadskanaal and Veendam or online in our ticket shop. During the Easter days, children can have their faces painted. And who knows, you might even meet the Easter Bunny!

Our standard ‘yellow’ timetable has been amended. Trains now depart from Stadskanaal at 10.30 am and 1.50 pm, and from Veendam at 11.45 am!
